Builder Tasklist Terms of Service

Welcome to Builder Tasklist

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Builder Tasklist mobile application, website (buildertasklist.com), support portal (buildertasklist.com/support), and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by DreamMaker Apps LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company located in Wake County ("Company," "we," or "us").

By using Builder Tasklist, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service Builder Tasklist is a mobile productivity tool designed for use by contractors and construction professionals. You may only use the Service if you are at least 18 years old and can form a binding contract. You agree to use the Service only in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms.

2. Account Registration To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments Builder Tasklist may offer free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the pricing and billing terms presented to you at the time of purchase. Subscription fees are non-refundable after 14 days except where required by law.

4. User Content You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including task descriptions, vendor names, photos, and notes ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Builder Tasklist a limited license to use that content to provide the Service.

You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.

5. Data and Privacy Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

6. Prohibited Activities You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose

  • Attempt to reverse engineer or access the source code of the app

  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Service

7. Intellectual Property All content and materials included in the Builder Tasklist app, website, and support portal — including text, graphics, logos, software, and visual design — are the property of Builder Tasklist or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No rights or licenses are granted to you unless expressly stated.

8. Trademarks Builder Tasklist, the Builder Tasklist logo, and all related names, product names, and design elements are trademarks of Builder Tasklist. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

9. User Contributions and Community Features The Service may include feedback forms, onboarding calls, support channels, or other areas where users can post or submit content ("User Contributions"). By submitting User Contributions, you grant us the right to use and display your input in connection with improving the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Contributions and agree not to post anything that violates our content standards.

10. Content Standards User Contributions must not:

  • Be defamatory, abusive, harassing, or hateful

  • Promote illegal activities or discrimination

  • Contain misleading or false statements

  • Infringe any intellectual property or privacy rights

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

11. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Builder Tasklist and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

12. Termination We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

13. Refund Policy We know things don’t always work out. That’s why we offer a simple 14-day refund if you change your mind after signing up. This means you may cancel this Agreement and request a refund within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason (but we’d like to know why to help us get better). The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day after completion of your initial purchase. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient that you send us your communication concerning your exercise of the cancellation right before the expiration of the 14 day period.

To cancel your order, you must inform Builder Tasklist of your decision. Please note that in respect of subscription services, you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges. Refunds are only available within 14 days of your initial purchase.

How to Cancel: Just email us at support@buildertasklist.com with your name, company name, order date, and the email you used to sign up.

Refunds are provided at the sole discretion of Builder Tasklist and on a case-by-case basis and may be refused. Builder Tasklist will refuse a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behavior that entitles Builder Tasklist to counterclaim the refund.

Effect of Cancellation

If you cancel this Agreement as permitted above, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this Agreement. It may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to post the refund.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction and you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Builder Tasklist is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

15. Arbitration and Jurisdiction These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes arising out of these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, as applicable.

16. Limitation on Time to File Claims Any claims or causes of action must be filed within one (1) year after they arise, or they will be permanently barred.

17. Changes to the Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify users via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new Terms.

18. Entire Agreement These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any supplemental terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Builder Tasklist and supersede all prior agreements regarding the Service.
